![]() This rule got reverted after a few days but this shows the intent Roblox goes to invest in Rthro models. At one point Roblox changed their branding guidelines so that only non blocky fully humanoid avatars could be shown in their advertising. It's been already established that Roblox has been blocky, and shoving these realistic models to coexist is a divisive move, it just doesn't transition well. These models aren't what Roblox represents. The main concern is that the excessive promotion and investment in anthro alienates the userbase. Roblox recently has been pushing hard for Rthro and realistic models to become part of Roblox, their promotions, advertisements and presentations show. The porportions are odd, bigger hands and head, thinner limbs, the faces or even animations look off-putting. The models themselves (specifically the humanlike ones Roblox made) can be uncanny and don't feel human at all. ![]() The slender and realistic models contrast with the blockier and toy-like models. It goes against the style of Roblox's blocky aesthetic.Currently Roblox has been expanding on this feature to add things like facial movement and layered clothes in the future. The feature allows R15 body types to be scaled and also have more flexible animations. It was first revealed in 2017 in a developer conference. Rthro is a new body type that was implemented in late 2018. The evolution of avatars have gone too far this time.
